As a guitarist I step in where necessary and desired; in various chamber music settings, as accompanist, substitute, soloist, background music, intermezi. It took me to beautiful and unique locations; from the street to museums, from the nursing home to the train hangar, clubs, banks, musicals, large and small concert halls, at home and abroad.
In addition to my regular flute-guitar duo with Femke van Leeuwen, I have performed in various ad hoc ensembles with fellow musicians on, among others, harpsichord, organ, violin, bass clarinet, string orchestra, concert band, and the Guitar Salon Roadshow. You can also hear me on Martijn Verberne’s children’s song album. A special project was the Idefix sextet, consisting of guitar, flute, harp, oboe, saxophone and celesta. Composer Niko Langenhuijsen wrote the composition “Era” especially for this line-up, which he later rewrote for the Brabant Jazz Orchestra.

I play a Sheridan guitar, and for situations where amplification is required I play an Asturias in combination with an AER amplifier.
